Job Opportunity Hospital Administrator/Risk Manager


Actively involved, at the executive level, in the leadership of the Company.  Organizes and administers areas of Patient Care Services to attain the hospital’s objectives established by the Company and its partners.




Essential Functions

  • Upholds the values and mission of the Company
  • Implements standards of nursing practice reviewing and revising as necessary to reflect changes in nursing practice and patient population
  • Responsible for the provision of nursing services 24 hours a day, seven (7) days a week at assigned Neighborhood Hospital facilities in the market
  • Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures regarding department operations, fire safety, emergency management and infection prevention and control
  • Effectively and consistently communicates administrative directive to staff and leads interactive departmental meetings and discussions
  • Completes modifications, additions or deletions to staffing plans to ensure reasonable hours and acceptable working conditions to provide optimal patient care coverage
  • Initiates and participates in problem solving, policy forming conferences for patient care services
  • Maintains close coordination with all departments to insure continuity and collaboration of services
  • Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors
  • Supports and maintains a culture of safety and quality
  • Plans and recommends to Market CNO new equipment or modifications needed to provide patient care
  • Plans and coordinates with the Market CNO and Controller, utilizing the management for planning the budget requirements for staff, performance of work, supplies and equipment
  • Implements an effective, ongoing program to measure, assess and improve the quality of nursing care delivered to patients





 Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

  • Current Kansas license as a registered nurse
  • Recent experience as ED Manager of large hospital and/or multi-site hospital system
  • Minimum five (5) years prior experience in ED patient care services
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS or ENPC required
  • Bachelors’ Degree in healthcare management, administration or nursing, preferred


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Maintains regulatory requirements, including all federal, state, local laws and regulations and accrediting organization standards
  • Maintains the Risk plan and activities as decribed in a responsible and responsive manner meeting all state requirments
  • Maintains and ensures patient confidentiality at all times
  • Ability to communicate effectively, maintaining a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with physicians and all levels of staff
  • Resolves staff concerns at all levels, utilizing the grievance process as required
  • Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner
  • Communicates the mission, ethics and goals of Tandem Hospital Partners
  • Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent understanding of the organizations goals and objectives
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
  • Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to work with all levels of staff to define business requirements and goals, and to identify and resolve issues
  • Ability to foster effective relationships and build consensus through the all levels of leadership in the organization
  • Knowledge and ability to work on large-scale complex projects that include multiple strategic goals and multiple tactical tasks
  • Travel will be required to our market facilities
