The Revenue Cycle Analyst and Trainer (front-end/patient access) is responsible for working closely with administrators, physicians and others to investigate and design strategic initiatives in order to improve revenue cycle statistics, reporting capabilities and overall performance.  This opportunity is for someone looking to expand their experience and work in an amazing, growing organization.

Responsibilities

 

Essential Functions

  • Manage entire revenue life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities to support revenue cycle integrity and achieve financial goals
  • Implement, design and provide support for business and administrative analytics within revenue cycle functional areas
  • Develop dashboards and reports with key performance indicators, metrics, data points and formulas
  • Interpret and summarize information, performing statistical tests and analysis
  • Optimize existing technologies within the revenue cycle relating to patient access, charge capture, coding, billing and clinical trials to achieve the highest level of automation and integration
  • Develop departmental strategies to meet cash projection formulas, reduce days in accounts receivable, and reduce denials
  • Discover the root cause of data flow issues, recommend changes and assist with the resolution
  • Performs database editing/auditing functions to maintain and improve data quality
  • Determine how processes can be aligned with best practices to achieve optimal results, measureable change and quantifiable, positive contribution
  • Assist in the identification of new technologies that will improve departmental operations and takes a leadership role in any new technology implementation
  • Serves as a consultant to the regions and corporate staff
  • Will assist in creating training material, and E-Learnings.
  • Will travel to multiple facilities and conduct training to the Patient Access Staff
  • Performs other duties as needed

  

Qualifications

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, Healthcare or other related degree
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience required in Patient Access, Front End service
  • Extensive experience in revenue management, patient financial services, charge capture and health information systems
  • Expertise in data extraction and database queries
  • Able to synthesize information recognize trends
  • Knowledgeable of healthcare improvement methodologies
  • Knowledgeable of reimbursement/payment policies, medical terminology, medical record coding and claim billing
  • Epic Single Billing Office Administration Certification OR Epic Prelude Certification, a plus
  • Confident to present complex information to front-line, mid-level, and executive staff
  • Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively and professionally with others
  • Work calmly and respond courteously with under pressure
  • Collaborate and accept direction
  • Exhibits strong verbal and written communication and demonstrate excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to be adaptable in order to work with challenging and demanding tasks and clients
  • Ability to quickly evaluate and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate detail-orientation and superior time management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and must have strong data entry skills
  • Knowledge in EMR Applications (Epic, Centricity, Soarian)

Travel Required

Up to 25% depending business needs
