Job OpportunityManager, IT Applications


The Manager, IT Applications role will be to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of applications that support core organizational functions. This will be achieved by implementing, monitoring, supporting and optimizing all software and associated systems. She/he will apply proven communication, analytical, and troubleshooting skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues that maximize the benefit of the IT Application investments.  Finally, the successful candidate should have a strong focus on quality and collaboration, with a servant heart and the ability to create value across the company. 




Essential Functions

  • Upholds the values and mission of the Tandem Hospital Partners family
  • Administration and support for Tandem Applications such as but not limited to: MS O365, AD, SharePoint, SSO, Dynamics GP, Adobe suites, OpenText Fax2Mail, HealthStream, Cactus, Citrix ShareFile and UltiPro
  • Apply application systems security configurations for best practices and appropriate rights management
  • Lead team meetings and provide status updates on application related projects
  • Provide SME level support for assigned Tandem applications as needed to support daily operations
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure the smooth and reliable operation of software and related systems for fulfilling business objective and processes
  • Analyze, design and deploy upgrades and/or enhancements to existing Tandem application platforms
  • Interact and negotiate with software vendors and contractors to secure applications systems related products and services
  • Work with software vendors on resolving any incident related issues with applications and/or other systems
  • Provide administration, support and maintenance of MS Windows Servers and Desktops where necessary
  • Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
  • Propose and create system design models, specifications and diagrams to provide direction to system programmers and development teams for workflow enhancements
  • Ensure system connectivity of all servers, software, groupware, and other applications as needed
  • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system implementation and configuration
  • Publish application training materials, create KB articles for known issues and provide work arounds
  • Coordinate and perform in-depth analysis, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems enhancements or upgrades
  • Monitor and test application reliability, prepare and deliver performance statistics and reports
  • Provide orientation and training to end users for all existing and new application systems
  • Provide guidance and/or mentor junior IT staff on relevant or IT related issues
  • Resolve IT incidents in the Service-Desk ticketing system to bring applications or services back online


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or relevant work experience in IT related field
  • 8 plus years’ experience with hardware and software installation, maintenance and support
  • Extensive working knowledge of windows operating systems, related hardware and software applications in relation to network design and delivery methods of applications
  • Proven experience in overseeing the design, development and implementation of software systems, applications and related products
  • Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and applications management best practices
  • Excellent understanding of the organizations goals and objectives
  • Ability to work with all levels of staff to define business requirements and systems goals, and to identify and resolve business systems issues

  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure fast paced environment
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
