    Job Opportunity – Education Coordinator

    The Education Coordinator works closely with the Market CEO/CNO, and Hospital Administrators to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate the educational needs of the employees at the department level to enable staff to provide quality care for the patient population.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Functions

    • Upholds the values and mission of the Company
    • Coordinates orientees’ clinical schedules
    • Schedules in-services including arranging for speakers and classrooms
    • Maintains all competencies for employees
    • Teach classes of expertise in accordance with defined lesson plan
    • Assists with maintaining accurate staff education records in accordance with company standards, SDOH, and other regulatory and accrediting organizations
    • Communicates internal and external education activities pertinent for employees
    • Function as Preceptor for new employees as needed
    • Provides feedback to appropriate leadership regarding orientees’ progress
    • Serve on hospital education council or committee

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualification

    • Valid and current RN License in the state of Kansas
    • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a BSN or ASN with credits toward a BSN
    • Master’s Degree preferred
    • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in nursing
    • A minimum of 2 years working within EMR’s and teaching/educating how to utilize the EMR

     

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Ability to relate to/with others
    • Skills in precepting/mentoring
    • Ability to utilize computers for basic work processing
    • Deal effectively with difficult patients, visitors, employees, situations, while maintaining emotional control
    • Interact with patients and employees of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic

    Travel Required

    Hospital to hospital within in the Kansas market

     

    Shift(s) Available

    Primarily Day shift/night shifts when business need demands
