    Job Opportunity – CREATIVE STRATEGIST

    THP is looking for an entry-level creative strategist to lead and direct the design and production of visual materials and media used for advertising, broadcast, and web communications. Oversees direction and creation of art, photo, video, and layout design from concept to production. Establishes, presents and implements design and format standards and processes to produce consistent and high-quality results. Selects external vendors, when necessary, and approves and coordinates projects. Ensures that project goals are met and adhere to approved budgets. This is a very visible position that works closely with all departments and levels in the organization and is considered the creative subject matter expert.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Functions

    • Upholds the values and mission of the Tandem Hospital Partners family
    • Manage creative work for THP and Hospital Partners while following all brand standards and strategies
    • Establishes, updates and maintains style guides for each Hospital Partner
    • Develops advertising message through various print and digital mediums based on demographics and market research
    • Develops mockups/storyboards for billboards, direct mail pieces, email, video and any other advertising medium
    • Consults on key messaging tactics in both visual and written form for presentations
    • Designs effective, trackable marketing collateral to fit marketing strategy
    • Designs promotional materials
    • Works with Digital Marketing Manager on graphics and user experience for website, social media, and blog content
    • Works closely with vendors to:
      • Provide correct files and information
      • Manage multiple projects
      • Ensure timelines are met
      • Stay within the agreed upon budget
      • Secure the best price and quality
    • Occasionally directs photo or video shoots
    • Manages Tandem Hospital Partners social media accounts
    • Manages the business card program for Tandem Hospital Partners as well as in each hospital market
    • Reviews and approves branding logo placement on various business and operations forms and documents when entering new markets
    • Optimizes photos and videos as requested
    • Manages multiple projects/priorities, including execution of campaigns within budget requirements
    • Designs and prepares media kit materials and collects and compiles data for printed material included in media kits
    • Manages projects to effectively meet deadlines
    • Extensive knowledge of department processes
    • Assumes additional tasks as assigned

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, or advertising is required
    • Minimum of one-year experience with an in-house marketing or design department, ad agency or freelancing
    • Able to work modern cameras and have an eye for visually interesting compositions and scenes
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize competing demands, be a quick learner, and work with tight deadlines
    • Advanced skills and knowledge with industry standard programs specifically Adobe Creative Cloud
    • Demonstrated effectiveness in learning new design, programs and technological innovation
    • Well-developed interpersonal and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent understanding of typography and visual layout and design a must
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Experience working in an environment driven by deadlines
    • Ability to produce advertising for print beginning with marketing and/or merchandising conception through graphic design and/or illustration, etc., including writing ad copy to finished product
    • Understanding of print production methods including four-color separation process, pre-press processing, etc.
    • Knowledge of html/CSS or other related programming is a plus

    Travel Required

    Up to 10% travel
